Employee of the Year

The winner of this award will be able to demonstrate how they have excelled in their current position to help drive measurable results for their organisation and/or the wider industry.

The judges will be looking for:

  • Evidence of how the nominee has excelled in their position to drive results for their organisation

  • Examples of how the nominee has helped achieve growth or other tangible results for their organisation

  • Evidence of how the nominee impacts the morale of the team and the business itself

This award is for the individuals, organisations, products and projects that have demonstrated a commitment to sustainability. They will have made an impact that has delivered measurable change in their organisations/communities/on behalf of clients to protect and enhance the environment, economy and society.

E.g. Reduction of carbon footprint, sustainable material use, waste reduction etc.

The judges will be looking for:

  • What is the approach to sustainability within the organisation?

  • Provide evidence of the tangible benefits of the initiative or product and the predicted benefits for the future including cost savings.

  • What were the challenges met in developing the initiative or product?

  • Describe the process for monitoring the outcomes and details of the overall future impact on the environment.

Wellbeing Initiative of the Year

This award focuses on ensuring effective practice and provision is in place that promotes the emotional wellbeing and mental health of all employees and changing the long-term culture of a business, and embedding an ethos where mental health is regarded as the responsibility of all.

The judges will be looking for:

  • How has your business showed a commitment to promoting mental health as part of work life?

  • How are mental health matters identified and what support is provided?

  • How has your business improved emotional wellbeing of employees?

  • How have you engaged the workforce in the importance of mental health awareness?

Innovation of the Year

This award is for individuals or teams who have challenged the status quo with new solutions and applied new ways of thinking that positively impact the business. These solutions may be new systems, technologies, products, programs, or policies that tackle process, social, cultural, civic, or health and safety issues.

The judges will be looking for:

  • Examples of how the initiative/project has impacted the business through innovation

  • Evidence of how a team/individual has implemented an initiative/project from start to finish, culminating in tangible results for the business

  • What business or industry challenge was identified for this innovative development?

  • Actively sharing new methods, practices or tools with co-workers and other community members to improve work processes

  • How will this innovation positively affect your business or the wider industry?
