The ‘buck’ stops with me. Supported by the RSMA team, delivering through the Executive Committee on behalf of the membership the strategic direction of the RSMA.
Promoting members as the responsible, professional, safety conscious employers and operators they are and protecting their interests whether that be commercial, regulatory or legislative. Planning a strategy, executing it and achieving the desired outcome.

Beate Walshaw
What are your accountabilities?
Directing the internal delivery structure to meet the goals of the business plan, alongside ensuring that the Association is and remains legally compliant in all required aspects of the law. Supporting the CEO in developing and delivering strategic and financial objectives that ultimately add value to our members and our industry.
The variety ( at times challenge!) and the opportunity to
support the growth of a small but ambitious organisation as well as being able to help in the
development of a group of dedicated people.
Music, Conchology, Travel, family and friends and unfortunately good food and drink.
Teaching myself the English language with the aid of ladybird books (this of course explains all the shortcomings!)

What are your accountabilities?
To maintain a positive membership journey for all existing and new members.
The variety and challenges of every day along with talking to members.
Baking, Dog walking, Reading and spending quality time with the family.
Moving, starting a new job, getting the kids settled in new schools all in the same year.

What are your accountabilities?
To support the industry ensuring fitting skills and standards for a strong future. These include assessing NVQ candidates; developing and delivering industry training; exploring funding opportunities and supporting CITB in promoting careers.
Regularly meeting a wide variety of people across the industry and being part of their skills development.

Joining the RSMA and using my practical knowledge of road construction to help further the aims of the association.

Crystal Holmes
What are your accountabilities?
To deliver organisational messages to help build and maintain a positive reputation for the RSMA.
I love to travel, spend time with friends and family and also train in women’s powerlifting.
I enjoy all things film, music, theatre and comedy so try to attend as many events as possible.
Donnie Brasco or Lord of the Rings.
Although on a completely different spectrum, I love everything Disney and Harry Potter too!

Liam Sheanon
What are your accountabilities?
Analysing and developing policy positions. Representing the RSMA and its members externally, promoting our members and the importance of road markings for a safe and effective highways network. Heavily involved in event development in terms of developing themes and inviting speakers.
Having the opportunity to influence policy which affects the road marking industry, which in turn, will affect overall road safety for road users.
Outside of work, I have a very family-orientated life; my daughter is a very outdoorsy child, so on the weekends, we’re always on the go!
I left school with only my GCSEs. I sit here today with a law degree, which was achieved despite my daughter being born at the end of my first term of my first year; this is my biggest achievement.
