The Principal Hotel, York, played host to the recent RSMA Members Interest Group (MIG) on 17th January 2018; this was the fourth MIG that the RSMA had held. The aim of the MIGs is to engage with Members, brief them on issues important to their businesses, and to gather opinions on pertinent matters to the industry in a bid to assist in steering the Association in respect of industry development, efficiency and its professionalism.

Attendance at this MIG was our best to date in terms of delegate numbers, encompassing contracting and manufacturing members, as well as suppliers, and feedback has been extremely positive to date.

Topics that were discussed on the day included:

  • John Stephenson, DVSA – Exemptions
  • Morris Cole, TDMA – Titanium Dioxide
  • Tolu Oke – Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
  • Mark Bridges, Highways England – HE Passport
  • Liam Sheanon, RSMA – Fatigue
  • Jason Jermany, RSMA – ORAS v:2

Feedback has been sought from the MIG, but if you have not had the opportunity to give yours, please contact We would appreciate your comments on how the day went and any improvements that could be made, as well as your thoughts on what you would like to see at any future RSMA events.

Thanks again to all those members who attended what was a very successful Member Interest Group.
