Gain a practical understanding of how to work in safety and avoid the risks of harm to yourself or colleagues in the Highways sector working environment.

 

What you will learn

Successful participant will be able to:

  1. Identify hazards and evaluate risks
  2. Use appropriate precautions for specific risks or seek advice on precautions
  3. Assist managers in preparing written risk assessments
  4. Follow their organisations safety policy
  5. Co-operate and communicate on health & Safety matters
  6. Carry out activities minimising risk
  7. Report relevant accidents and incidents and monitor activity
